Communicate daily with the Assisted Living Director, Nursing staff, and families.

Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Job #002

Certified Medication Aide Requirements

Must have current CMA.

Must have at least 1 year experience working as a CMA in an Assisted Living.


Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes daily logs to document pertinent information about residents.

Receives medication updates from Director of Nursing or Wellness Nurse.

Administers with medications and treatments for residents using administration records.

Documents and initials as medications are given; appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.

Maintains confidentiality of all resident information.

Restocks medication cart after medication passes.

Maintains and cleans medication room, med charts, and treatment charts.

Follows refill process for medication.

Helps residents maintain independence; promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.

Strives to understand and respond to each resident with empathy; always remaining mindful of the resident’s unique communication patterns and history.

Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.


Job #003

Housekeeper Requirements

High School Diploma / GED preferred

A desire to work with seniors.


Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites and public areas

Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices

Respect resident privacy by knocking on doors before entering suites

Maintains equipment and supplies needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition

Transportation of supplies, including clean and soiled linens, to appropriate collection areas

Trash collection and removal in all areas of the community

Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens to be replaced

Ensure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use

Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times and are not blocking exits

Comply with all infection control techniques and placement of bio-hazard containers and removal techniques

Communicate with supervisor the inventory of equipment and products

Assist Care Managers and department coordinators when needed
